Graduation and Senior Update 

February 11, 2025

 

Dear SIS Class of 2025 Students and Families, 

Congratulations! Summit Innovations School is eagerly looking forward to our graduation ceremony scheduled for:

Date:  Thursday, June 5, 2025

Time: 5:30pm

Location:  Center for the Arts  

Guests: This is not a ticketed event. 

                                                    Theater seating is available first come, first served. 

 

Expectations for Walking at Graduation

All seniors in good standing (academically and behaviorally) who have successfully completed all requirements for a SIS diploma including passing all required classes, and have completed senior checkout may participate in the SIS  graduation ceremony.  

 

Senior Final Exams: May 29-30

Seniors will take their final exams and finish coursework Thursday, May 29 and Friday, May 30.

Final exams for Periods 1, 2, 3 & 4: Thursday, May 29

Final exams forPeriods 5, 6 & 7: Friday, May 30

 

Senior Checkout: May 30

Senior Checkout is Friday, May 30 after the 7th period Final Exam (1:00-3:50 PM)

Students must complete senior checkout in order to participate in graduation. If a student has not yet met all graduation requirements, they are required to attend school June 3-5 and continue to work toward meeting all graduation requirements. Once requirements are met, they will complete the final checkout process.

 

Checkout list:

  • Return laptop & charger (check your email for tech fees due for broken devices and/or charger blocks)

  • Return all school materials (library books, textbooks, TI84 calculators, etc)

  • Pay lunch balances, activities fees and/or class fees

  • Check out with the Counseling Department (update your plans in SCOIR, request your final transcript, etc).

 

Graduation Cap, Gown and Tassel Orders

All graduates wear a black gown and black cap with blue & white tassel for the graduation ceremony.  Your student will be measured here at school to select the proper size cap and gown, and their order will be placed by the school to Jostens ($35).  We have a very limited supply of caps and gowns for students to borrow; if you would like to borrow, please email Gigi at gbaltes@tcsd.org

 

Yearbooks

All SIS students will be given a Summit Innovations School yearbook created and published by our own Summit Publications class.  Yearbooks will be distributed to seniors during their last week of school.  

 

Senior Photo & Baby Photo

If you have not yet submitted a senior photo and baby photo to the yearbook, you may email it to Heidi Crabtree, hcrabtree@tcsd.org) or phone, 307-733-9116. 

 

Senior Slideshow - Content Needed!

One of the highlights of the graduation ceremony is the Senior Slideshow, featuring senior portraits, a baby/youth photo(s) and a senior quote.  We  have already asked seniors for these items, however please check with your Senior to see where they are in the process of submitting these items. 


 

 

 

SIS students who also attended JHHS for their high school education may participate in the JHHS graduation ceremony.  These students are required to participate in the JHHS graduation rehearsal.

 

JHHS Graduation Rehearsal: June 6

Graduation rehearsal (all students are required to attend) for JHHS graduation seniors is on Friday, June 6th at 11:00am. Seniors should meet on the front lawn of JHHS (near the main entrance). The rehearsal will last approximately 1 hour. They will end with a  BBQ for seniors near the stadium concession stand.

 

JHHS Graduation Ceremony: June 7

Date: Saturday, June 7, 2025

Time: 10:00 am; Seniors report to the Commons at 9:00am

Location:  Outdoors at William T. McIntosh Stadium

Guests: This is not a ticketed event. Outdoor stadium seating is available first come, first served.  The gates to the stadium will open at 9:00am. 

Disabled and Senior Seating:  The first row of the stands has disabled seating and wheelchair access. Additional covered seating for disabled and seniors is available on the field. Seating is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Graduate Parking: JHHS Student Parking

Guest Parking:  Jackson Hole High School, Jackson Hole Middle School, Summit Innovations School, Colter Elementary School, and TCSD District Office.

Handicap and Senior Parking:  Handicap parking will be at Summit Innovations School. Visitors will park on Summit and take the paved bike path to the stadium.

Restrooms : Portable toilets are located at the main entrance of the stadium and restrooms are located in the concession area.

Weather: Fingers crossed for a beautiful sunny day, but we all know what it can be like at the beginning of June in Wyoming. We encourage everyone to dress appropriately for the weather; the ceremony will be held outdoors.
